Hydraulic Pipe Bender Instructions
- 1). Attach a pipe shoe, or bending die, to your hydraulic bender. It should match the size of pipe you wish to bend. It attaches to the bender shaft and keeps the pipe firmly in place.
- 2). Pull back the fastening ring on the end of your hydraulic pump hose (that has a brass fastener).
- 3). Slide the brass fastener over the nozzle of the hydraulic pump bender. Release the fastening ring, allowing it to return in place.
- 4). Move the hydraulic pipe bender's angle pin to the desired setting. Markings indicate the angle that corresponds to each pin setting. If your pipe bender does not have an angle pin, refer to its user manual for information on setting the bending angle.
- 5). Slide the pipe onto the hydraulic pipe bender. The pipe will be bent at the point that is at the edge of the pipe bender's shaft.
- 6). Lock the pipe in position with the locking mechanism. This ensures the pipe remains in the desired position during the bending process.
- 7). Turn on the hydraulic pump.
- 8). Turn on the hydraulic pipe bender. Stand clear of the machine until the pipe is bent.
- 9). Turn off the pump, turn off the pipe bender, unlock the locking mechanism, and remove your bent pipe from the bender. Slowly remove the hydraulic hose from the pipe bender.
