Exclusive Luxury Stays in Buenos Aires City and Province

One thing that makes staying in Buenos Aires great is the variety of boutique hotels in this fantastic city. We have long written on many of the best of them here at About.com Argentina Travel.

One website and organization helps you find some of the best of Buenos Aires’ boutique hotels all together in one spot, Best Boutique Hotels, at www.thebbh.com. Here is the direct link to all of their Buenos Aires offerings.

The detailed website includes hotel descriptions, along with maps to help you get the most out of your stay and determine how to use these hotels to your best advantage. In addition to Argentina, the site also looks at boutique hotels in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Peru and Uruguay.

We will focus on Buenos Aires in this article. We have also written on the variety of hotels that the organization lists throughout Argentina, including in Cordoba, Mendoza, Mesopotamia, the Northeast and in Patagonia in this article.

In its coverage of Buenos Aires, Best Boutique Hotels also includes hotels in the entire province of Buenos Aires not just the city.

You’ll find hotels in the beach resort of Mar del Plata, about five hours to the south of the capital, where the website and organization highlights the Sainte Jeanne Hotel Boutique and Spa. You will also find a listing of the Vieja Hosteria, in nearby Pinamar, a beautiful and exclusive resort beach town. For more watery ideas, head to Tigre, a fantastic vacation paradise in the capital’s suburbs, where they examine the Becasina Delta Lodge.

They also look at other suburban hotels which are wonderful and exclusive such as San Isidro’s Hotel del Casco, on the way to Tigre, in this tiny suburb’s historic quarter, worth exploring. Another member which we have written about extensively if the Estancia La Bamba de Areco, which we detail in this article. Another choice for relaxation outside of the capital is in Tandil, where they feature Estancia La Estrella.

Some of our favorite Buenos Aires boutique hotels are also members of the site. We already have great coverage of many of these hotels in our article on Buenos Aires hotels here.

I love Home Buenos Aires, which is also featured here, run by a wonderful couple and one of the first of the Palermo trendy hotels. You will also find a writeup of Hub Porteno here, an amazing addition to Buenos Aires’ roster of fabulous hotels

Another of our long time favorites is also in here, the Algodon Mansion, a very small exclusive hotel which also has a wine property not far from Mendoza which we have also featured.

They also feature Recoleta’s Club Frances hotel, built into an 1866 renovated structure which epitomizes the neighborhood’s luxury. And another of my favorites which they have also featured is Legado Mitico, in Palermo, where every room is themed around an Argentine icon, such as Evita, among everyone’s favorite, especially mine!

We will soon feature other Argentine hotels from the organization in an upcoming article, so you know what hotels to stay in with the same levels of exclusive, luxury service.

What are some of the other great articles we have here on About.com Argentina Travel so you can get the most out of your trip to this great South American nation? Take a look at our article on hotels in Buenos Aires, and compare prices, neighborhoods and styles. Here is a guest article by Irvina Lew looking at Mendoza and exciting things to do in this wonderful world wine capital. This is one of my favorite articles, looking at things to consider that are great about Buenos Aires that you might not know, from how walkable the city is to the amount of great nightlife, to all the free museums all over the Argentine capital. One of our newest articles also looks at Visit.org and their new offerings on interesting things to do in Argentina, and other parts of South America. We also some fabulous coverage of the new Kirchner Cultural Center which opened for the 25 de Mayo celebrations in 2015 in a huge and fantastic ceremony, where even President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner danced.

In short, there’s always tons here on About.com Argentina Travel.
