How to Use iPods Like Hard Drives

    • 1). Load iTunes on your computer.

    • 2). Connect the iPod to the computer using the iPod's syncing cable. Your iPod's picture displays below "Devices" in iTunes after a few seconds.

    • 3). Click your iPod in the "Devices" area on the left side of iTunes.

    • 4). Click the "Enable Disk Use" box to place a check next to its listing. This lets your iPod act as a mass storage drive.

    • 5). Click "Apply" to save the settings."

    • 6). Click the "Start" menu in Windows and click "Computer." Your iPod's drive appears in the pop-up "Computer" folder. Mac owners can find the iPod's drive on the computer's desktop.

    • 7). Double-click the iPod's drive. The iPod's stored contents appear.

    • 8). Drag and drop files into the iPod's drive. The dropped files store to the iPod's disk.
