Should You Buy Your Wedding Jewellery From the Same Place?
Sometimes if money is tight your looking for the cheapest deal on everything and this includes your wedding jewellery, I'm all up for value for money so I generally see shopping around for the best deal the right thing to do.
But in some situations it might be a false economy and this article will attempt to explain why and give you some examples of when choosing your jewellery from different shops might work.
Buying crystal wedding jewellery If you're clear about which type of crystals are being used and their colour, in most cases as long as you match both then buying earrings from a shop on your high street and finding a necklace to compliment them online shouldn't be too much of a problem.
For example, if the crystals are Swarovski and the colour is clear it won't be too difficult to find something online as many sellers of wedding jewellery prefer the sparkle of Swarovski and most designs are available in clear.
There is more of a problem if you are unsure of the manufacture and the crystal is coloured.
In this example if you were trying to match a pink crystal, you've got quite a selection to choose from such as rose, rosaline, light rose, vintage rose, rose water opal, fuchsia and many more.
So if you were buying coloured crystal jewellery it might be a better idea to purchase it all from one place to ensure they are all the same shade.
Buying diamante jewellery It can be easier to buy diamante jewellery from different places and still make them match as most diamante stones look similar even if they are different brands or made in different countries, you will only be able to tell the difference if you look closely and you'll find the amount of sparkle tends to be the biggest difference but unless you place both pieces of jewellery side by side you probably won't even be able to tell.
In some of the cheap accessories shops you may find in your local town what look like diamantes may be acrylic and you want to stay away from these.
They may look OK on their own but places against any real diamantes they will look dull and slightly yellow.
Buying Pearl Wedding Jewellery Natural pearls are created by natural so their shades will always have light variation.
For example I buy my fresh water pearls in bulk as I know the next batch might be a slightly different shade to the ones I've been using in my jewellery.
I strongly suggest that you buy your fresh water pearl jewellery from the same supplier as you might find if you don't each piece of jewellery is a different shade to the other.
This is also the same of faux pearls.
When I'm referring to faux pearls I'm only talking about glass pearls, personally I wouldn't touch plastic pearls as I don't like the look or feel of them.
Because there is a wide range of glass pearls and colours it will be difficult to match jewellery from different shops so stick to the same place when ordering all your wedding jewellery.
