How to Transfer a DVD to iPod on a Mac
- 1). Download the latest version of Handbrake and install it on your Mac computer.
- 2). Insert the DVD movie that you want to rip into your computer's disk drive.
- 3). Launch the Handbrake application and select the DVD movie as the source. Then hit "Open."
- 4). Select one of the iPod presets from the drawer on the right side of the Handbrake window. Keep in mind that the presets for higher resolution ripping will create larger files.
- 5). Click on the "Start" button at the top of the window to begin ripping the DVD onto your hard drive. This may take some time, so you should find something away from the computer to do while it works.
- 6). Open the iTunes application once the DVD has been ripped.
- 7). Go to "File" in the top menu bar and select "Add to Library." Then double-click on the movie file that you just created in Handbrake.
- 8). Connect your iPod to your Mac computer, launch the iTunes application and select your iPod from the "Devices" list.
- 9). Go to the "Movies" tab at the top of the iPod configuration page. Check the box next to "Sync Movies" and make sure the movie file you just imported is also checked.
- 10
Hit the "Apply" button in the lower-right corner to sync your iPod with your computer and transfer the movie file.
