Batch PDF to TIFF Conversion

    Getting the Software

    • First, go to the PDF to TIFF Converter website (see Resources), download the program and start the installation. Follow the installation wizard prompts, installing to the default location. The program is free to use for 15 days, during which time if you decide to buy it, you can do so for $24.95 for a single-user license (July 2009). If not, it will automatically uninstall itself from your system after the 15-day free trial.

    Starting the Process

    • Start the program. You will see standard menus at the top and a series of tabs you can click below that. Click the "Add Files" tab and browse on your hard drive to the PDF files that you want to convert. Once selected, they will appear in the file list. Click the "Settings" tab. A new dialog box will open.

    Settings and Conversion

    • Now select the folder you want to save the TIFF files to. Also click OFF "Save All Pages to a Single TIFF File" if you want your pages as separate images. Select the "Advanced" tab, set the resolution in pixels of the TIFF images and select the compression you want to use. Keep in mind that the file size of the TIFFs will be affected by the resolution and compression mode you choose. Click the "Start" button to begin the conversion process.
