How do I Install a 960 Volvo Stereo Into a 940 Volvo?
- 1). Push in on the two tabs, one on either side of the Volvo 940's stereo. The tabs will pop out. You may find it easier to push in on the tabs with the tip of a small flat-bladed screwdriver. Grasp the two tabs and pull the stereo toward you, out of the dashboard.
- 2). Grasp the flat white plastic connector on the back of the radio. Push down on the small tab at the top of the connector to unlock it and pull it out of the radio. Grasp the antenna plug, a silver connector with a black cable attached, and pull it out of the back of the radio.
- 3). Plug the white, plastic connector and the antenna plug into the 960 radio.The back of the radio is identical to the back of the 940 radio.
- 4). Line up the radio with the opening in the dash and push it into the cavity until it clicks into place.
