How to Use Hydrogen Peroxide As Natural Hair Dye
- 1). Cut a small piece of your hair from the back of your head in a nonvisible place. Tape the strands of hair together to create a test strip. Everyone's hair reacts differently to hydrogen peroxide, so a test strip allows you to see how it will change your hair. Pour a solution of half water and half hydrogen peroxide over the test strip of hair.
- 2). Fill a water bottle halfway with water. Fill the rest of the bottle with hydrogen peroxide. Spray the mixture over your hair and comb it in by running a comb through your hair. Let the mix sit on your hair for at least 15 minutes.
- 3). Rinse your hair with running water to remove the peroxide. Your hair will be lighter after it dries.
- 4). Massage a deep conditioner into your hair. Hydrogen peroxide is drying and the conditioner will restore moisture to your hair.
- 5). Repeat the process as desired until your hair is as light as you want. Wait at least a few days between applications.
