How do I Attach a Kodak C533 Camera to an ETX-90?

    • 1). Purchase a universal telescope camera adapter.

    • 2). Attach the universal adapter using the tripod screw receptacle on the bottom of the C533 camera. A universal adapter is an economical way to "connect" the C533 to optical equipment.

    • 3). Clamp the adapter onto the eyepiece of Meade ETX-90 and line up the C533 lens with the ETX-90's eyepiece. This quickly adapts the Kodak C533 to take great digiscoping and astrophotography shots.

    • 4). Position the camera over the ETX-90's eyepiece. A universal camera adapter like a Zhumell permits horizontal as well as vertical adjustment of the camera, so the C533 lens can precisely line up with the eyepiece of the telescope. Attach a shutter cable or electronic shutter release to the C533's shutter button.

    • 5). Turn off the auto-focus features. Focus the telescope-camera assembly with the telescope focus knobs while looking through the camera viewfinder. Allow at least 10 seconds between shots for any induced movement to stop.
