- The Uniden DXAI 4288-2 system includes two cordless handsets, a main base and an extra charging cradle. Uniden utilizes the 2.4GHz frequency range for this specific handset. The cordless handset also includes a digital answering system for missed calls. Using advanced microchip technology, the answering system does not contain any tapes or moving parts. As a result, recorded messages are clearer and can be stored longer.
- The caller ID system displays the name and number of the calling party on receiving a call. Uniden also provides a call waiting feature, which displays the name and number of a phone line that comes in while you're on the line. Additionally, the DXAI 4288-2 system has an auto-talk feature that allows users to answer the phone simply by removing the handset from the base or cradle. The phone lets you store your area code so you can dial only seven digits instead of 10 for local calls.
- The Uniden DXAI 4288-2's LED screen can display three different languages: English, French or Spanish. The phone system also has five different ring tone and volume combinations to choose from.
