- 1). Locate the circuit breaker and turn off all the electricity to your pool. Once the electricity is off, you can safely handle electrical objects without the danger of being electrocuted.
- 2). Remove the screw at the top of the light fixture. There is no need to get into the pool. You can lie flat on your stomach and reach into the pool.
- 3). Pull the light fixture out of the fixture housing. If there is a tab at the bottom of the fixture, pull the fixture up and out of the housing.
- 4). Pull the fixture up on to the pool deck. The cord is long enough to pull it up and out of the pool. Pay attention to how the cord is wrapped and assembled in and around the fixture.
