Instructions for Deleting Files on a Sansa E280

    • 1). Plug the USB cord that came with your Sansa E280 into the device. Plug the other end into a USB port on your computer. Wait for your computer to recognize the Sansa E280 device as an external drive and to bring up the AutoPlay window.

    • 2). Click the option to "Open folder to view files" in the AutoPlay window. According to SanDisk's Sansa E200 manual, this option may also appear as "Open device to view files using Window Explorer."

    • 3). Navigate through the folders on your Sansa E280 by double-clicking any folder that appears in the window that opens. When you find a file that you want to delete from the Sansa E280 player, click on the file to highlight it.

    • 4). Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard, and click "Yes" when prompted to confirm. This deletes the file from your Sansa E280 player. Continue until you have deleted all files that you want to remove from the Sansa E280 device.

    • 5). Click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon that appears in the system tray of your computer. Click on "Sansa E280" from the list of external drives that comes up. Unplug your Sansa E280 from the computer after the "Safe to Remove Hardware" message displays.
