- 1). Locate the Hold switch on the top of your iPod. It will be located in the left corner of the very top of the device.
- 2). Toggle the hold switch on and off one time. To do this slide the switch to the hold position, and then immediately slide it back to the off position.
- 3). Press and hold the Menu button (located in the center of the click wheel) and the Select button (located just above the Menu button in the click wheel) simultaneously and hold them down for approximately 6 seconds or until the Apple logo appears on the screen of your iPod.
- 4). Release the buttons. Your iPod will continue to reboot for a moment until the main menu screen appears. At this point your iPod has restarted and is ready for use.
