- 1). Assemble the frame. Use lightweight, electrical metal tubing or one-inch PVC tubing for the frame. You will want a circular net section with a diameter of about three feet, and a handle of 4 to 6 feet based on your height and strength.
- 2). Cut the netting to about 12 feet square, or a little more than 3 1/2 feet by 3 1/2 feet. You will want a little extra net to allow you to safely hold the fish inside.
- 3). Fold over the edges of the net (as if you were rolling down a sock) until three layers of netting accrue. Guide the net onto the circular part of the frame, so that the net is held to the frame with three layers rather than just one layer of netting.
- 4). Secure the frame using a joint connector and screw together all joints tightly if using metal. Apply PVC joint compound glue if you are using PVC pipe.
