- 1). Open a web browser on your computer. Navigate to the "Sync My Ride" website. Log in with your user name and password, or create an account.
- 2). Click the "Update and Customize" tab. Select your desired upgrade option. Print it out and take it to your Ford dealership, or click "Download."
- 3). Follow instructions for saving the file to your computer. Insert a USB drive into an available USB port on your computer. Transfer the files to the USB drive. Remove the USB drive when transfer is complete.
- 4). Enter your vehicle. Insert the key in the ignition to turn it on. Place the USB drive into the USB port of the Ford Sync system.
- 5). Touch "Information" on the screen. Tap "Sync Apps" in the center of the screen. Touch "Begin Software Installation."
- 6). Wait for the upgrade to complete. When prompted, remove the USB and turn off your vehicle.
