- 1). Connect the iPod Touch to your computer using the USB docking cable. The iPod Touch must be plugged into a USB 2.0 port.
- 2). Click the "iTunes Store" tab in the iTunes window, then click the "Sign In" button. Log in to your iTunes account by entering the email address and password used to purchase iTunes content.
- 3). Click the "4.1 Update" button in the iTunes Store's window. Alternately, click the tab of your device in the iTunes' sidebar and click "Check for Update." Click "Download and Install" to download the firmware update to iTunes, which will automatically launch and install onto your iPod Touch.
- 4). Turn on your Bluetooth-enabled device. Tap the "Settings" icon on your iPod Touch's screen, then touch the "General" tab. Touch "Bluetooth" in the General menu, then slide your finger against the Bluetooth's tab to turn on the feature.
- 5). Tap the name of the Bluetooth-enabled device in the Devices list on your iPod Touch's screen to pair the devices.
