How to Visit Belize

    • 1). Book your travel arrangements. The most convenient option for traveling to Belize is by air (unless you live in Southern Mexico or Guatemala, in which case you can drive). To search for competitive air prices, contact your local travel agency or look in the additional resources for ticket price comparisons of the major airlines.

    • 2). Find accommodations. Depending on what kind of Belize vacation you are looking for, there are a variety of accommodation options. Two of the highly rated options are the Hamanasi Adventure and Dive Resort and the Mopan River Resort.

    • 3). Consider all-inclusive packages. Many companies offer all-inclusive vacations to destinations like Belize where you can select the type of experience you want and pay one fee for airfare, lodging, and activities. These packages leave less room for spontaneity but often make up for it in savings and lack of worries.

    • 4). Check visa and passport requirements. For U.S. citizens, visas are not required to visit Belize for less than 30 days. Passports are required to cross borders.

    • 5). Pack light. Belize lies near the equator so you won't need any warm clothes. Just remember to bring plenty of sunscreen and leave your worries behind.
