How to Cook With Rose Wine

    • 1). Incorporate rose wine into refreshing beverages. Add it to Fresca, sparkling water, or other citrusy carbonated drinks. Add rose wine to sangria, or make a pink lemonade beverage out of it. Use equal parts rose wine and the other ingredient.

    • 2). Add 1/2 cup rose to every 2 cups of a creamy pasta sauce for a little added sweetness and flavor. Rose wine is good with light, creamy sauces for lighter-hued food, such as chicken breasts, pork, pasta and seafood.

    • 3). Toss steamed vegetables in a small amount of rose wine and butter for a creamy, fresh flavor. This method is best for vegetables with mild flavors, such as squash, broccoli, potatoes, peas and eggplant. It doesn't work so well with stronger-flavored vegetables such as peppers, snap peas, zucchini and corn.

    • 4). Toss sliced fruit in a couple tablespoons of rose wine, and add a little whipped cream on top with mint leaves. Use fruits with berrylike flavors, such as strawberries, blackberries and raspberries, pears, peaches and melon.
