How to Take Apart a P99 Spring Airsoft Gun
- 1). Use a finger to press down on the magazine release latch on one side of the P99 airsoft gun's handle. Pull the magazine out from the bottom of the handle.
- 2). Cock the sliding plate of the P99 airsoft gun. Fire the P99 airsoft gun into the open bowl of a toilet to ensure that there are no projectiles inside.
- 3). Place a bath towel down on a table. Place the P99 airsoft gun down on its side on the bath towel with the barrel facing to the left.
- 4). Remove the screws from the top edge of the barrel, from the back edge by the hammer and from the gun handle with the Phillips screwdriver.
- 5). Turn the P99 airsoft gun over on the bath towel. Remove the screws as was just done on the other side using the Phillips screwdriver.
- 6). Stand up the P99 airsoft gun on the bath towel. Use the Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw that is at the back just before the hammer.
- 7). Insert the tip of the Phillips screwdriver into the gap at the back of the gun that is in front of the screw hole that just had the screw removed. Wiggle the tip of the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the two sides of the P99 airsoft gun.
- 8). Pull up on the sliding plate that is on the top of the P99 airsoft gun to dislodge it. Push the sliding plate towards the front of the P99 airsoft gun to slide it off.
- 9). Remove the holding bracket from inside of the sliding plate using your fingers. Remove the barrel from inside of the sliding plate using your fingers.

Remove the firing mechanism from inside of the depression that was covered by the sliding plate using your fingers. - 11
Lay the P99 airsoft gun back down on the bath towel. - 12
Remove the spring from inside of the firing mechanism by grabbing one end with the needle-nosed pliers and pulling up and out. - 13
Remove the firing rod from inside of the firing mechanism using your fingers - 14
Insert the tip of the flat-edged screwdriver beneath the gun grip. Wiggle the tip of the flat-edged screwdriver to dislodge the gun grip from the gun handle. Remove the gun grip from the gun handle. - 15
Turn over the P99 airsoft gun. Repeat the procedure to remove the gun grip from this side of the P99 airsoft gun.
