How to Change Speakers on a 2000 Nissan Altima
- 1). Put the tip of your panel tool behind the edge of the plastic trim ring that surrounds the door release. Pry the trim ring off.
- 2). Carefully pry out the small plastic screw cover in the bottom of the recess in the door handle. Remove the Phillips screw that is underneath the cover.
- 3). Pry up the switch panel on the arm rest with your panel tool. Lift it out of the arm rest. Unplug the wiring connector hooked to the underneath.
- 4). Slide your panel tool in between the bottom of the door panel and the door. Pry outwards to release the clips holding the panel to the door. Work around the perimeter of the door panel; lift the panel up and off of the door when it is completely loose.
- 5). Remove the four Phillips screws from the perimeter of the speaker. Pull the speaker out of the door. Grasp the plug on the back and pull it off of the speaker.
- 6). Plug the wiring connector onto the new speaker. Place it in the door cavity and fasten it in place with the Phillips screws. Reassemble the door by reversing your steps.
