How to Remove Root Suckers From Sassafras

    • 1). Grab the sucker at its base, as close to the ground as possible.

    • 2). Pull the sucker down and away with a quick tugging motion to pull the sucker up.

    • 3). Cut the suckers away using pruning shears as close to the ground as possible if you can't pull them out with your hands.
