• Spore for the iPhone is available for purchase from the Apple App Store and EAMobile.com and is playable on both the iPhone and iPod Touch. iPod Touch users will need a Wi-Fi connection or computer with an iPod compatible USB cord to access the Apple App Store and EAMobile.com.
  
  

Differences from the Console and Computer Versions

• The Spore game was released on multiple platforms; however, the versions released for home computers and video game consoles offer a much more robust experience. The iPhone version only follows the Ocean portion of the full game, but has 35 levels of evolving to facilitate longer game play. The console and computer versions feature the ability to leave the water and further evolve on land and even transport to other planets.
  
  

Play Function

• The game is played by first designing a creature/character and then advancing through the levels. Players move the creature around with the accelerometer, avoiding harmful creatures in the environment and consuming helpful ones. Once a player has consumed enough creatures, it will gain the ability to add helpful evolutions to its body, which players can select.
  
  

Game Modes

• Spore for the iPhone features two different game-play modes. The first, Evolution, is the primary game-play mode and is centered on evolving your creature and completing levels. The second is Survival, in which players experience unlimited randomly generated levels of increasing difficulty to see how long they can go before dying.
  
  

Developer

• Spore was produced by Electronic Arts and developed by their subsidiary Maxis. Long time fan favorite game developer and Maxis founder, Will Wright, developed the property for the company. He was also the developer responsible for the Civilization franchise, Grand Theft Auto series, SimCity franchise, Battlefield series and the Sims franchise, many of which are some of the highest selling games of all time.
