INTRODUCTION
When an individual decides to start a manufacturing or a processing and packaging company, KEBS which is the KENYA BUREAU OF STANDARDS) comes in to inspect and qualify the product's certification in terms of standards. ALL AND EVERY PRODUCT UNDERGOES THE SAME PROCESS AND LICENSING.All categories of products can be divided into food, chemical and machinery. 0

STEP 1; Acquiring a certificate of incorporation, or of registration from the Registrar of Companies.
STEP 2; Getting the application form from KEBS offices or the KEBS Website.
STEP 3; Paying the fees necessary to the KEBS office, ( the following information on fees will be found in the end of this document).
STEP 4: KEBS will open a file for the company in the business name.
STEP 5; The Quality assurance department will then take samples of the product and be able to test each item. If products pass the quality test KEBS will provide the business with a permit, from that permit one then applies for the STANDARDIZATION MARK.
