The Best For Your Children
While it is your intentions to hope and wish the best for your child, reality sets in to the degree that your child or children cannot be a trick of all trades.
To encourage and motivate children is one thing I attempt to do all the time for my daughter, but by the same token I know it's impossible for my child to be the best at everything.
Wanting your child to be the best at what he or she may do should bring enough excitement in your life to support their needs and desires.
Children today need to be given opportunities to show and display their gifts and talents.
Let your child choose their own extra-curricular activities as they get older to discover how to make certain decisions and to decide on what they want to do.
I honestly believe children should not be forced to do what you want them to do, but what they enjoy doing with your support.
If your child or children are doing what they enjoy and love to do then they will find fulfillment and have the confidence to do their best to be the best at what they do.
Every person is gifted and has a gift God have given them to use for his glory and purpose.
"Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear: but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
II Timothy 1:6, 7.
Most people including ourselves as parents' let alone our children need to be encouraged and motivated to be the best we can be.
I'm not the best parent in the world, but I strive to be.
It's the desire of most parents that their children are good at everything; but the reality is your child or children will only be as good as their hearts desire.
By allowing your child to see how you operate in the home and in public is the best and prime example of you doing your best before them.
While you may not have the best house on the block, you may have the home filled with the most love.
Wanting the best for your children goes further than any extra-curricular activity or materialism you can provide for your children.
The key for the best for your child is teaching them to have the best attitudes regardless of who's blaming who, great moral settings and showing proper respect for themselves, their peers and elders.
As long as you and I teach our children how to be respectful, resourceful, and resilient to life's challenges, they can be the best at anything.
Your child or children are an asset to you and not a liability.
Look, Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of your womb is a reward.
Psalm 127:3.
