How to Recover Missing Internet Explorer 7 Files
- 1). Open Internet Explorer.
- 2). Click on "Tools" in the menu bar and then "Internet Options."
- 3). Click on the "Advanced" tab. Click the "Reset" button to bring up the "Reset Internet Explorer" box and then click on "Reset" again to confirm.
- 4). Restart the computer. Open Internet Explorer again. Proceed with the next step if Internet Explorer 7 continues to report missing files or does not work properly.
- 5). Download Internet Explorer 7 and reinstall if using Windows XP, using the link in Resources. Update your version of Internet Explorer 7 with the latest updates and hotfixes if using Windows Vista by clicking on "Tools" and then "Windows Update." Restart, and attempt to use the browser again.
- 6). Install Windows XP Service Pack 3 if using Windows XP. (See Resources for the link.)
- 7). Update and run a full scan on your computer with your preferred anti-virus and anti-spyware software.
