Globe Aspect Sandals

About.com Rating

The Bottom Line

The Globe Aspect sandals are comfortable and cool. They have some great design features to give them a boost over the competition, such as the super comfortable insole, and the clever tread. Aspects are also designed to be fast drying, and they hold to your foot well without having anything between your toes. They can get a little hot when sitting in the sun, especially the black sections, and there's not much arch support, but these are small issues.

The Aspect is a great summer sandal.

Guide Review - Globe Aspect Sandals

There are a lot of sandal companies out there, and it can be hard to know what to buy. Around where I live, Reef sandals are popular right now. They're cool, but you spend a lot for sandals that don't really look like they deserve the price. Globe Aspects are packed with extra features, and are comfortable on top of it all.

First off, they have a very comfortable contoured insole. That's the part that you put your foot on. The pattern in the rubber is comfortable, and the rubber itself promises to contour to your foot without simply breaking in.

The soft textile upper is smooth and feels good as well, and it also dries quickly in the sun.

And that's a great feature of these sandals, as opposed to some more simple sandals or flip flops out there - the Aspects are made to be active. The upper is comfortable and dries quickly, like I said, but it's also reinforced and heavily stitched into rubber guards that are part of the sole. The whole thing is built to last.

One of the coolest features, I think, is the sole. It's made from two types of rubber, which will enhance it's grippyness, and the tread is clever and complicated. There's the usual herring bone tread pattern in the middle, but there are little grooves set into it that run a different direction. The point? The Aspect will help you grip rocks and sticks, or whatever you find yourself stepping on or over, in and out of water, far better than the competition.

The Globe Aspect is a great sandal. Check it out.
