How to Upgrade an Unlocked iPhone From 2.0.1 Version to 2.1
- 1). Download the 2.1 firmware update from the Internet. Go online to your favorite search engine and type in "iPhone firmware downloads," then select one of the firmware download websites that appears. Download the 2.1 software. Felixbruns, iClarified, and Softpedia are examples of websites that carry the software for download.
- 2). Plug your unlocked iPhone into your computer using the USB charger cable and open iTunes.
- 3). Click "Cancel" when iTunes asks you if you'd like to update your phone to the latest firmware version.
- 4). Right-click on the "Restore" button and select the 2.1 version of the iPhone firmware you downloaded.
