How to Import Trapcode Plug-ins Into After Effects

    • 1). Download the files to an easy-to-find location, such as "My Documents" or the desktop.

    • 2). Click on "My Computer" and locate your hard drive. The default location is "C," but it could be labeled with another letter. Double-click on this drive to load the contents.

    • 3). Click on the "Program Files" folder and locate the "Adobe" folder. Double-click this, and a list of your Adobe programs will load on the screen. Find your version of "After Effects" and double-click it.

    • 4). Double-click on the folder labeled "Support Files" and then select the "Plug-In" folder.

    • 5). Open the downloaded folder and press "Ctrl" and "C" to copy the "Plug-In" folder. Press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste this into the "After Effects" plug-in folder.

    • 6). Go back into the "Support Files" folder and open the "Presets" folder. Copy and paste the "Presets" folder from your downloads into the "Presets" folder in the "After Effects" folder.

    • 7). Go back to the "Support Files" and select the "Scripts" folder. Copy and paste all of the downloaded "Scipt UI" files into this folder.
