How to Barbecue a Pineapple

    • 1). Press on the outside of the pineapple and look for a bit of give to determine if it is ripe or not. Smell the top to ensure it smells of pineapple.

    • 2). Remove the outer skin of the pineapple by cutting off the top and bottom, and then holding it vertically and slicing down the sides. Core the pineapple with a corer.

    • 3). Turn the pineapple on its side and cut 1-inch rings. Cut the core part out with your knife if you don't have a proper corer.

    • 4). Preheat your grill to medium and brush the grates with oil so the pineapple won't stick.

    • 5). Place the pineapple rings on the grill and let them cook for about one minute per side, until you have grill marks on the flesh.
