Summertime could only mean one thing for me: fun! Out of all the seasons in the planet, summer is for me, is always the most anticipated season of the year.
This is because of the fun and excitement that it brings.
When summer comes, there is no other thing in people's mind; all they want to do is stay out of their homes and head for the beach or the pool.
And speaking of pools; swimming pools are as much fun as summer itself.
For me, it's the number one place to go to in this time of the year.
There numerous things that you could do under a hot summer sun on the swimming pool.
It doesn't matter if it's public or private; you can definitely be sure that you would be enjoying the crystal clear blue water.

And when that comes; I know that fun and excitement comes next.
However, as fun as it is, many people didn't know about the difficulty of maintaining it.
Swimming pool maintenance is a very difficult task to do and time consuming as well especially if you are running a huge public pool which you would need to employ the help of assistants and crews.
But back on a more personal scale; having your own swimming pool in the house requires you to maintain its cleanliness, functionality and safeness.

What are these chemicals that I am talking about? The most popular chemical that you need to come face to face with is chlorine.
Chlorine does a lot of stuff in your water in safe dosages.
It prevents the growth of algae that are supposed to make your pool look murky and dirty; it also kills the dangerous bacteria, viruses and other dangerous stuff that your swimming pool might acquire.
In short it keeps your pool safe.
Other chemicals that you need to know about are the pool shock treatment chemical.
You have to use this because sometimes chlorine isn't enough.
Basically, that is what you need to know for now.
There are other chemicals that you could use.
