Sony Alpha 300 Operating Instructions
- 1). Insert the battery by pulling the release button on the bottom of the camera and swinging open the cover. Insert it with the correct orientation and close the cover.
- 2). Insert a CompactFlash card in the side of the camera by pushing the slot outward then swinging it open. Gently push the card inward until the eject button pops out. Close the cover.
- 3). Turn on the camera by pushing the switch on the back to "On."
- 4). Rotate the shooting dial to "Auto" to place the camera in automatic mode.
- 5). Aim the camera at the subject and look through the viewfinder to compose your shot. Rotate the zoom barrel on the lens, if your lens has one, to zoom in and out.
- 6). Press the shutter button halfway to gain focus. The built-in flash may pop up if necessary.
- 7). Press the shutter button down fully to take the photo. Look at the LCD display for a brief review of the image.
- 8). Press the "Play" button, which is located to near the bottom right of the LCD, to display the most recent image. Use the left and right arrow buttons to navigate between images in the order they were taken. Press the "Play" button again to return to shooting mode.
