- 1). Plug the component video cables into the "Component Out" ports on the gaming console, then insert the other ends of the cables into the "Component In" ports on the TV. Once set, insert the RCA audio cables into the "Audio Out" ports on the gaming equipment, then plug the free ends into the "Audio In" ports on the television.
- 2). Attach the HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the gaming system (if your system is HD and didn't require the component connection). Plug the other end of the cable into the "HDMI In" port on the TV. No matter what connection you use, the gaming system now has its own specific hookup and channel dedicated to it.
- 3). Press the "Input" option on the television (often known as "Source") and select either the "HDMI" or "Component Video" channel. The programming from the video game system now loads onto the television screen.
