What Is A Threadlift and What Does It Do For You?

A threadlift is a type of miniature face lift without the recovery time, most of the pain, and taking only an hour to perform.
This is a cosmetic procedure often referred to as a lunch hour facelift.
However, this procedure requires no cutting and doesn't leave scars.
It is mostly used in cases where people are just starting to drop from the onset of age and is used to lift sagging eyebrows, area between the nose and the corners of the mouth, and the drooping of neck skin.
It is a relatively simple procedure that requires only the use of an extremely thin needle and a barbed thread.
When the procedure is completed there may be some pain and swelling for a couple of days but, no visible stitches.
How The Procedure Is Performed Normally the procedure can be done right in the plastic surgeons office and the plastic surgeon uses the needle with the barbed thread to lift the sagging skin from underneath and anchor it to the underlying tissue.
Cost of this procedure can range anywhere from $1500 to $4500 in most cases.
Most people who have had this procedure done stated that it took about an hour and there was little pain attached to having the threadlift done.
Who Can Have A Threadlift Threadlifts are most useful and successful with women ages 35 to 45 who are just starting to show the effects of age on their skin.
Although some older women have had this procedure simply to reduce some of the sagging around their eyebrows and the corners of their mouth and have been quite pleased with the result.
Keep in mind however, that this procedure is not meant to take the place of a face lift it is simply designed to help those who want a little lift rather than a lot.
While threadlifts are not performed as often in the United States as they once were they are still quite popular in other countries and when done by someone skilled and knowledgeable in this kind of procedure the results can be quite satisfactory.
Keep in mind however, that this is a temporary procedure and continued aging may require a more aggressive treatment to lift that sagging skin.
However, it can keep you looking younger longer and many clients feel that it is worth the price.
If you want to do something about that sagging skin and aren't ready or can't afford a surgical face lift then contact a plastic surgeon and see if a threadlift is right for you and will give you the kind of results you are looking for.
While you are there why not ask him or her if there are other treatments available.
The more you know the wiser the decision you will make.
