I Can't Upload Pictures to Facebook From a Droid X

    Connection

    • Make sure your phone is getting service at the time you're trying to upload a photo. If you're not in a 3G coverage area, your Droid X may take significantly longer to upload a photo, giving it more of a chance to fail if coverage is temporarily lost. Connect to Wi-Fi if possible to achieve superior uploading speeds. To turn on Wi-Fi, press "Menu" at the Home screen, choose "Settings" and tap on "Wireless & Networks." Tap on the check box to enable Wi-Fi and select a network from those available; a private Wi-Fi network will require a password for access. All Facebook uploading options will work more efficiently if your Droid X is connected to Wi-Fi.

    Email

    • Facebook provides you with a personalized email address to use for uploading photos. Sending a photo to the email address will automatically upload it to your Facebook's "Mobile Uploads" album. You can find your Facebook upload email address by browsing to Facebook's "Mobile" page. Enter the email in your preferred email application's contact list on your Droid X for convenience. Compose a new message to your Facebook upload email, add your photo as an attachment and send it to upload it to your profile.

    Application

    • The Android Market offers a free Facebook for Android application, allowing you to upload photos, update your status, check your News Feed and more from your Droid X. To upload a photo, download the application from the Android Market and open it. Log in and tap on the "Photos" icon from the Facebook for Android home screen. Tap the camera icon in the upper-right of the page and you are given an option to upload a photo from your gallery or take one with your camera. Select your photo or take a new one, and it will be uploaded to your Facebook's "Mobile Uploads" album.

    Mobile Web

    • Facebook offers a mobile site that can be accessed through your Droid X's Web browser. Open your default Web browser and go to Facebook's site. Your Droid X should automatically be redirected to the mobile site designed for cellphone browsers. From the Facebook homepage, tap "More" to open a drop-down menu and choose "Photos" from the options provided. Select "Upload Photos," and your Facebook upload email address will be displayed, giving you a shortcut to uploading via email.
