How to Add a Google Maps Link to a Craigslist Posting
- 1). Create a new Craigslist posting if you have not already done so. Click "Post to Classified," which is located at the top, left of the Craigslist homepage, and select a posting category, such as "Event," "Item Wanted" or "Personal/Romance."
- 2). Fill out all the fields of your blank posting completely. Give your posting a title, provide your general location and a detailed description of the item in question. Add up to four images to your posting. Verify that your information is as you want it.
- 3). Map your location on Google Maps. After you have selected the correct location, click the "Link" button at the top, right corner of the map, double-click in the field under "Paste HTML to Embed in Website" and hold down the "Ctrl" and "C" keys at the same time to copy the code to the clipboard.
- 4). Click your cursor at the bottom of your Craigslist ad and hold down "Ctrl" and "V" at the same time to paste the code. Click "Continue," verify the content of your ad, agree to Craigslist's "Terms of Service" and click "Post" to finish the posting process. Click the link Craigslist sends to your email inbox to post the ad to the site -- and notice your Google Map embedded within your ad.
