How to Edit a Microsoft Word 2003 Document in Microsoft Word 2007
- 1). Open Microsoft Word 2007.
- 2). Click the round "Office" button at the top-left corner of the window and select "Open."
- 3). Navigate to the folder containing the Word 2003 document you want to open.
- 4). Click the drop-down menu located adjacent to the "File name" field in the resulting dialog box and select the "Word 97-2003 Documents" option. The Word 2003 file appears within the dialog box immediately.
- 5). Double-click the icon of the Word 2003 file. Its contents appear on your screen, ready for editing, within a few seconds.
