- 1). Cut a piece of 1/2-inch PVC pipe into pieces with a hacksaw. You want two 3-foot pieces and three 12-inch pieces.
- 2). Sand one end of each pipe with 80-grit sandpaper to prepare it for glue. Sand both ends of one of the 3-foot sections.
- 3). Glue the three 12-inch pieces and the double-sanded 3-foot piece into a 4-way PVC joint, creating a "T" shape. The sanded ends should be glued and inserted into the pipe.
- 4). Cut the end of the 12-inch piece opposite of the long piece at a diagonal to make it easier to insert into the ground.
- 5). Glue a 90-degree elbow joint onto the other end of the 3-foot piece, then glue the other 3-foot piece into the elbow's other end.
- 6). Allow the glue to dry.
- 7). Drill a 1/8-inch hole through the exposed end of the second 3-foot piece.
- 8). Thread a fishing line through the hole.
