A Dad"s Business - Making The Leap From Good to Great

Because when it was a little baby elephant, the owner got a high tensile steel chain and wrapped it around one ankle and fastened it to a stake embedded in concrete.
The little elephant started to pull, and day after day it pulled and pulled to try and get away but it couldn't.
Finally, it gave up.
It then grew into a great big elephant and now looks down on any restraint as something it cannot get away from, so it never even tries.
In the mind's eye of the elephant there is this barrier beyond which it thinks it cannot go.
This is all very well in the animal world.
But what about mankind? Well the very existence of the human race is built upon endeavour and achievement; mankind breaking new boundaries and barriers that were never believed to be possible.
If you do not firmly believe that your own abilities, knowledge, and experience can elevate your business to new heights, then you cannot expect others to believe.
If you do not believe in your product or service, then you will never be able to convince your customers.
In many cases, Dads build what is called a 'false ceiling' in their minds.
That there are barriers beyond which they think they cannot go.
One of the greatest examples of false ceilings being raised is that of Dr Roger Bannister who was the first man to ever run a mile in under four minutes.
It was claimed, up until the 1950s, that man was not built to run a mile in under four minutes.
The muscles were simply not big enough - it would never be done.
Dr Roger Bannister knew he could run a quarter mile in under a minute.
He put together those four quarters in his mind, and he did it.
The impact this had was amazing; within days, other people were doing it! It only took one person to prove he could do it, and then others had the belief that they could do it.
You have talents and abilities far greater than anything that you have ever realized or used up to now.
You have within you the potential to accomplish wonderful things for yourself and your family.
Your great responsibility is to dream big dreams, decide exactly what you want, make a plan to achieve it, take action every single day in the direction of your dreams and goals and resolve to never, never, never give up.
If you do these things, you will become unstoppable.
Even if you have built a false ceiling in your mind, it is just waiting to be exploded.
