About Juicy Couture Perfume

    Inspiration

    • Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor, the two founders of the Juicy brand, wanted a classic, feminine and flirty fragrance with gourmand notes, inspired by the golden age of Parisian perfumery. Visual cues included Marie Antoinette, pastel cookie boxes and girlish haute couture. Skaist-Levy described the scent as "something Barbie might wear."

    Perfumer

    • Juicy Couture was created by perfumer Harry Fremont at Firmenich, one of the top three international fine fragrance houses.

    Fragrance Notes

    • Juicy Couture's top notes reveal juicy fruits and florals like watermelon, mandarin, passionfruit, marigold and hyacinth. In the center, sensual tuberose and wild rose blend with sweet lily. The gourmand drydown includes notes of caramel, creme brulee, vanilla, patchouli and woods.

    Bottle

    • Juicy Couture's playful yet elegant style is reflected in the perfume's heavy, clear cut glass bottle and ornamental stopper. Several charms are wrapped around the neck and the Juicy brand seal adorns the front.

    Reviews

    • Perfume industry blogs reviewed Juicy Couture when it was introduced in 2006. Now Smell This called the scent "sweet" and heavy on fruits and indistinct white florals, without the warm, rich, inviting base note usually found in gourmand fragrances. Bois de Jasmin felt that "in light of the onslaught of unimaginative fruity-florals, Juicy Couture comes as a nice surprise, and fans of radiant florals like J'Adôre and Bond No 9 Chelsea Flowers should be pleased by it."

    Product Line

    • The Juicy Couture fragrance line is sold in department stores and from online retailers. The Eau de Parfum spray is sold in 3.4 oz. and 1 oz. bottles, while the Eau de Toilette comes in 1 oz. bottles. Ancillary products include a shower gel, body sorbet, body creme, dusting powder, bath caviar soak, sugar scrub, salt soak and a scented candle.
