How to Tie a Flounder Rig

    • 1). Place a weight slide on the end of your fishing line. Slide a bead on the line below the weight slide.

    • 2). Tie a barrel swivel onto the end of the fishing line with a uni knot. Trim the excess from the free end of the line with scissors.

    • 3). Attach a 2-ounce or heavier pyramid weight to the snap on the weight slide.

    • 4). Cut an 18-inch length of monofilament fishing line from a filler spool with scissors to use as a leader.

    • 5). Tie one end of the leader to the barrel swivel with a uni knot. Tie the free end of the leader to a size 1/0 or smaller circle hook with a Palomar knot.
