- 1). Submerge the reel and line in cold water before use. Moisture will prevent the line from swelling on the reel and jamming.
- 2). Lay out the length of the braid line, then reel it back in.
- 3). Drag several inches of line off the spool before diving.
- 4). Rewind the line after deployment.
- 5). Submerge the sidewinder reel in cold water to clean salt and sediment from the internal parts.
