How to Get Powdered Cocoa out of Carpet

    • 1). Vacuum up the powdered cocoa using either the brush or wand attachment.

    • 2). Brush the carpet with a carpet brush to loosen the fibers. Vacuum the area again.

    • 3). Repeat brushing and vacuuming the carpet several times. This should remove all of the powdered cocoa.

    • 4). Mix 1/4 tsp. of dishwashing detergent with 1 qt. of warm water. Dampen a paper towel or rag with the soap solution, and dab the carpet if the cocoa left a stain.

    • 5). Rinse the area by spraying water on the carpet and blotting it up with a rag or paper towels.
