- 1). Remove the garment--if possible--and dust off as much of the laser ink as possible. Use a vacuum with an upholstery attachment to remove the loose laser ink.
- 2). Allow a sink to fill with cold water. Submerge the garment in the cold water. Make sure the area that encountered the laser ink is completely submerged.
- 3). Swish the water and clothing around with your hand. Allow the water to drain out of the sink.
- 4). Set your washing machine to the coldest setting and allow the washer to begin to fill with water. Add a mild laundry detergent. Place the garment into the washer and close the lid. Allow the washing machine to complete the cycle.
- 5). Remove the garment from the washer. Examine the item and--if the laser ink is gone--allow to air-dry. If the laser ink is still present, rub the area with a pre-wash stain remover. Allow the stain remover to sit on the article of clothing for 10 minutes. Launder the item once again in cold water.
