Little Hands In 1975, a group of parents from CPNS realized that they needed a pre-school for younger siblings.
The idea captivated CPNS teacher and parent Nancy Forbes so much that she founded Little Hands.
Today, Little Hands serves more than 200 families in San Mateo County and operates using the same principles of community as CPNS.
Every Little Hands parent is responsible for simple jobs that suit their talents, time, and preferences.
These jobs are flexible and include repairing fixtures, fund-raising, or encoding data.
Besides that, parents participate in every class as an "observer" or a "supervisor", alternating roles every week.
As an observer, you get to watch the kids, make a record of their activities, and then share your observations with the Little Hands teacher after class.
You can also discuss any concerns you might have about your child and parenting.
Supervisors, on the other hand, watch over the kids playing at your specific activity area throughout the entire class period.
