How to Convert an eBook to a Kindle

    • 1). Log onto the Kindle website. If you are a new user, create an account then log on.

    • 2). Select the "Add New Item" button at the top left of the dashboard.

    • 3). Enter the required information. Type the title of your eBook into the Title box. Select the language from the drop down box.

    • 4). Enter a category. Click the "Add/Edit" button next to "Category" and select the best category for your book. For example, if your book is a statistics help book, select Mathematics, Probability and Statistics, Reference. Press the "Add Categories" button. Click the "Confirm" button.

    • 5). Click the "Add/Edit" button next to Authors. Enter the author's name and click the "Done" button. Click the "Save Entries" button at the bottom of the product details box.

    • 6). Confirm that you are the owner of the book rights and that you are authorized to upload the content by selecting the appropriate radio button stating that you own world rights or limited rights. If you are a self-published author and have never published the book with a traditional publisher or otherwise sold rights, then you have world rights to your book. Check the box stating that you are authorized to upload the book.

    • 7). Upload your book. Click the "Browse" button and choose the file from your computer. Click the "Upload" button.

    • 8). Click on the "Enter Suggested Retail Price" tab at the top right of the DTP toolbar. Enter your retail price. Click the "Save Entries" button.

    • 9). Click "Publish." The Amazon Kindle team will review your book, and if it meets their publishing standards, your book will be available for purchase within five days.
