DIY Felt Flower Napkin Rings

    • 1). Measure the circumference of the napkin ring and the width of the band and write the measurements down as the dimensions of your felt swatch.

    • 2). Cut a rectangle with the above dimensions out of light green felt. Wrap the swatch around the ring to make sure that it fits properly.

    • 3). Apply felt glue to the ring then gently wrap the felt around it. Do not press it into place, as this will cause the glue to soak through the fabric. Let it dry for an hour.

    • 4). Cut a strip of dark green felt approximately the length of the ring's circumference. Apply glue to the back of the strip and adhere it to the ring in a spiral, like a winding vine. Leave a space in which to glue the flower.

    • 5). Trace around the edges of two sizes of flower cookie cutters or draw the outlines of two flowers by hand, making one slightly smaller than the other.

    • 6). Stack the smaller flower on top of the larger one and place a button in the center. Sew the button through both layers to complete the flower.

    • 7). Cut two or three leaves out of dark green felt, if desired. Glue the flower and leaves to the napkin ring and let it dry three or four hours before using it.
