How to Install an ISO Image of Vista

Download ImgBurn. Save it to your desktop.

Double-click the ImgBurn installation file on your desktop and follow the onscreen prompts to install the program. Click "Finish" to complete the installation and insert a blank DVD-R into your DVD burner drive.

Click "Start > Programs > ImgBurn > ImgBurn" to open ImgBurn. Click "Write image file to disc."

Click the "File" button and navigate to "Browse for a source file." Select the Vista ISO image and click "Open." Then click the blue "ISO to CD" button located at the bottom left of the program. The disc will then burn.

Close the DVD tray with the newly burnt DVD in it and click "Start > Shutdown > Restart." Press "Any Key" to boot from the Vista disc.

Select the appropriate language, time and currency format, and keyboard or input method options. Click "Next." Then click "Install Vista" and enter your product key for activation on the next page.

Select the edition of Windows you purchased on the next screen and check the box stating that you have selected the correct edition. Click "Next" and then check "I accept the license terms." Select "Custom (advanced) install" on the next screen and then follow the rest of the onscreen prompts. The installation will then begin and the computer will reboot several times throughout the course of it.

Enter your user name and password and then click "Finish." You've successfully installed your Vista ISO on your computer.
