How to Configure a Printer Using Jet Direct Card
- 1). Press the printer "Menu" button until the "EIO Jet Direct" menu appears. Press the "Item" button until you see "Configure Network."
- 2). Press the "Value" button to change the "Configure Network" setting to "Yes" and press the "Select" button. Press the "Item" button until you see "Configure TCP/IP."
- 3). Use the "Value" button to change the "Configure TCP/IP" setting to "Yes" and press the "Select" key to accept your choice. Press the "Item" button until you see the "IP Byte 1" option. Use the value buttons to set the value for the first IP byte. Each byte in the IP address is a number between 0 and 255. Your network administrator can give you the IP address to set for the printer.
- 4). Press "Select" after setting the first IP byte, then use the "Item" button to go to the next IP byte. Continue until all four IP bytes are set.
- 5). Use the "Menu" button to select the "Configuration" menu. Press the "Item" button until you see "Print Configuration Page" and press "Select" to print the page. Review the networking section of the page and make sure the IP address is set correctly.
