How to Care for Italian Cypress Trees

    Caring for Italian Cypress Trees

    • 1). Monitor the moisture of the dirt around your tree by pushing a stick into the surrounding soil.

    • 2). Water the trees if the moisture level on your stick is less than 10 inches.

    • 3). Apply granular fertilizer to trees quarterly in order to maintain health.

    • 4). Use fungicide on trees after the beginning of any wet period. The trees should not remain wet, and drenching surrounding areas with fungicide will help eliminate root fungus.

    • 5). Use a miticide every three months on trees to prevent mite infestation.

    • 6). Trim and maintain shape as needed.
