How do I Delete Books From a Garmin 760 Nuvi?
- 1). Connect your Garmin Nuvi 760 to your computer using the USB cable included with the Garmin.
- 2). Open "Computer" or "My Computer," depending on which version of Windows you are using. If you do not see a desktop icon for this, click on "Start." You'll see "Computer" in the start menu.
- 3). Scroll to the "Nuvi" removable drive. Double-click on it to open it. Browse through the files to find the audio book that you want to delete. For audio books that you have purchased through Garmin's program with Audible.com, the file extension is "AA." The file name should give you an indication of the particular audio book's name.
- 4). Right-click on the audio book that you want to delete. Select "Delete." This wipes the audio-book file from the Garmin's drive.
- 5). Right-click on the green USB icon in your notification-status bar in the lower-right corner of the desktop. Click "Safely Remove Hardware." When instructed, unplug the Garmin's cable from the computer.
